Finally a good weekend for the Ridout & Maybee, Gabo Solutions, Good Cars Only Formula Mazda - we believe we have found the engine gremlin we have been fighting all season.  We installed our SCCA rotary engine in the race car and tested on the 26th of July at CTMP.  The engine was not running well in race trim.  We worked on the problem all day on the 26th and missed Race 1 on the 27th because the engine was very difficult to start.  Fortunately, our engine builder Dave Diedrick of Mazdees in Pickering Ontario, came over to look at the car and he determined (after 5 minutes) that the ignition was incorrectly wired.  We believe that we have had this problem all season!!  On the 28th, we ran in Race 2 and 3 and finished 8th and 7th respectively.  For our team, this is a really big accomplishment given all the challenges we have had this past season.  Our plan is to pull out the complete ignition season before the next race weekend and start from the beginning.  As usual, our good friends at Good Cars Only www.goodcarsonly.com provided us with a 2012 Ford F250 4X4 Diesel Crew Cab Long Box Pickup - perfect for race weekends.
