About Subject Motorsports

Subject Motorsports campaigns the Enhanced Performance, Good Cars Only, Gabo Solutions, #77 Formula Mazda in the Formula Libre Class of the Canadian Automobile Sports Club - Ontario Region (CASC-OR), the Formula Classic F90 Class in the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC)  and in Group 9 in the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA).
  • We provide our partners with the promotional opportunities to showcase their products and services to the growing community of racing fans that follow our race team at both live racing events and through online activities
  • We provide coaching , data analysis and race engineering for all levels of amateur racing

Paul "GT" Subject, Driver, Coach, Race Engineer

Paul "GT" Subject is a seasoned race driver and coach with over 45 years of experience in amateur and semi‑professional motorsports. He currently competes in Formula Mazda at vintage events across Canada and the United States. A skilled fabricator and mechanic, Paul specializes in one‑on‑one coaching for open‑wheel formula cars and has mentored drivers throughout North America. He also provides closed‑wheel coaching at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Shannonville Motorsport Park.

  • Extensive racing experience in open wheel and closed wheel classes.
  • Extensive experience maximizing vehicle and driver performance through data analysis, optimized setup, managing mechanical interface, ensuring compliance with rules by working closely with the team and driver.  Advanced AiM Vehicle Data Systems training.

About the #77 Formula Mazda

The Enhanced Performance, Good Cars Only, Gabo Solutions, #77 Formula Mazda is an open wheel race car which is adaptable to both road courses and oval tracks.  It is a "spec" formula car, meaning all cars running in the Formula Mazda class are virtually the same.  The motor is sealed and stock parts cannot be altered and must be obtained from the same manufacturer.  Only minor adjustments can be made to the car, such as ride height, camber, caster, wing angles, gear ratios and tire pressures.
